(Matthew 2:1-2)

5 And they said to him, “In Bethlehem of Judea; for this is what has been written by the prophet:
6 ‘AND YOU, BETHLEHEM, LAND OF JUDAH, ARE BY NO MEANS LEAST AMONG THE LEADERS OF JUDAH; FOR OUT OF YOU SHALL COME FORTH A LEADER WHO WILL SHEPHERD MY PEOPLE ISRAEL.’”
2) True seekers seek God’s Word (Matthew 2:3-8)
7 Then Herod secretly called the magi and carefully determined from them the time the star appeared.
8 And he sent them to Bethlehem and said, “Go and search carefully for the Child; and when you have found Him, report to me, so that I too may come and worship Him.”
3) True seekers of God worship Christ alone (Matthew 2:9-12)
9 Now after hearing the king, they went their way; and behold, the star, which they had seen in the east, was going on before them until it came and stood over the place where the Child was.
10 And when they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy.
3) True seekers of God worship Christ alone (Matthew 2:9-12)
11 And after coming into the house they saw the Child with Mary His mother; and they fell to the ground and worshiped Him. Then, opening their treasures, they presented to Him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
12 And having been warned in a dream not to return to Herod, the magi departed for their own country by another way.

He has sent Me to proclaim release to the captives, And recovery of sight to the blind, To set free those who are oppressed, 19 To proclaim the favorable year of the Lord.” 20 And He closed the book, gave it back to the attendant and sat down; and the eyes of all in the synagogue were fixed on Him. 21 And He began to say to them, “Today this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing.

the Spirit of wisdom and understanding,
the Spirit of counsel and might,
the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord.
3 And his delight shall be in the fear of the Lord.
He shall not judge by what his eyes see,
or decide disputes by what his ears hear,
4 but with righteousness he shall judge the poor,
and decide with equity for the meek of the earth;
and he shall strike the earth with the rod of his mouth,
and with the breath of his lips he shall kill the wicked.
5 Righteousness shall be the belt of his waist,
and faithfulness the belt of his loins.
THE OLD TESTAMENT PROPHECIES: THE ADVENT OF CHRIST / ISAIAH 7:14 / ISAIAH 9:6-9
The book of Isaiah was the Gospel of the Old Testament. We know Isaiah is in heaven because he believed in the Messiah; He prophesied and preached on the coming advent of the Messiah who is Christ; The suffering and death of the Messiah. The second coming of the Messiah; His millennial reign of the Messiah. The Salvation that comes from the Messiah and through Him alone.
“Isaiah sets forth every aspect of the glory and ministry of Christ: His incarnation (7:14; 9:6); His youth (7:15; 11:1; 53:2); His mild manner (42:2); His obedience (50:5); His message (61:1, 2); His miracles (35:5, 6); His sufferings, rejection, and vicarious death (50:6; 53:1–12); and His exaltation (52:13).” Thomas Nelson Publishers. 2) The Christ is the GLORIOUS KING (Isaiah 9:6–7)
“6 For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.
7 There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace, On the throne of David and over his kingdom, To establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness From then on and forevermore. The zeal of Yahweh of hosts will accomplish this.”
